PPF is modelled at 7.1 percent a year on the balance after each yearly contribution. That rate is set by the government and changes. Recalculate when it does.

The 15 year lock is the default tenure. Early closure rules are not modelled here.

Worked example: ₹1,50,000 at the start of each year for 15 years at 7.1%. The last years add more interest than the first ones because the stack is larger. The 1.5 lakh cap is the current yearly limit most people use. If the cap moves, type the new number.
